On every website for one of my clients, I have been utilizing this plugin. I truly enjoy using this plugin to develop WordPress websites. The best feature of the Elementor plugin is the ability to construct any type of website using pre-made template kits. Themeforest, Envato Elements, Elementor, and many other websites offer these template kits.
With the Elementor page builder plugin, these ELementor Template kits are simple to modify. These websites provide the kit for download as a ZIP file. So, a single ZIP file contains all of these files. It is available for download and save on your PC. You can use this ZIP file to create a header, footer, page, and post layouts on your WordPress website later on by uploading it there.
There are certain template kits that will require the Elementor Pro plugin and some that will not. Hence, be sure to check the kit’s prerequisites before you buy or download any kits. You can occasionally use template kits without having Elementor Pro. To import and install the Elementor template kit in WordPress, you can use some free plugins that can be downloaded.

Easy steps to install Elementor template kit in WordPress
- Download and save the template kit on your computer in a ZIP format. Do not unzip the file.
- Make sure that you have basic free Elementor plugin is installed on your WordPress website.
- You can install Hello Elementor theme on your website. This is a fre theme designed by Elementor.
- When you download any template kit, check the requirements. You may also see some free plugin requirements in order to make the kit work.
- Start installing the required plugins as shown in the video above such as elementskit Lite, Metform, Elementor add on. Many of these plugins will be free to use.
- To create Header and Footer section for the website, install “Elementor Header and Footer builder” plugin. This is also a free one.
- Install Dethemekit for Elementor plugin.
Start designing the website layout
- Create blank Home page and Menu for the website.
- Set the Home page as main page of the website as shown in the video.
- Go to Elementor settings and make sure that “Disable default colors and Disable Default Fonts” are checked. This will let your website use the font and color from the template kit.
- On the WordPress Dashboard – Go to Templates – Click on Kit Library.
- Click on Import Kit icon at the top and browse the template kit ZIP file.
- It will now start importing all the template files. Once the import is successful, you will see the message. Click close.
- Return to Templates.
Many imported template files will be shown.
If not, you can manually import those files by extracting the template kit file (explained in the video). - You can design the layout for the website’s header and footer using the Header and Footer builder plugin.
For the duration of the website, this header and footer won’t change. - With the help of the Elementor template package, you may now design website pages.
These template kits typically include templates for headers, footers, about pages, home pages, contacts, services, and products, as well as single pages, single posts, blog pages, and other things.
