We will install the Free Elementor Header & Footer Builder plugin in this article. Elementor is one of the best page builder plugins I’ve used in years. I enjoy designing websites with the Elementor page builder.
The header and footer are critical components of any website. The header and footer sections are generally the same throughout the website. People will see the same logo, menu, and other information in the website’s header and footer. This will be applied to all of the website’s pages or posts.
The free Elementor plugin does not include the ability to create header and footer builders that will be added dynamically to the entire website. You can manually add it, but not dynamically.
In this case, you should consider using the Elementor Pro plugin. The Elementor Pro plugin includes a header and footer builder. However, it is a paid plugin, and you must pay for it. Aside from this feature, the Elementor pro plugin includes a plethora of other elements. So, if you truly want to create a professional website with a single plugin and a free theme, you should think about purchasing this Pro plugin.
If you do not have the Elementor Pro plugin, you can install other free plugins to create a header and a footer in your elementor website. So, using a free additional plugin, you can create a header and a footer for your elementor website.

In this video, I’ve demonstrated how to install a free plugin and how to use it to create a header and a footer. Also, I made a header layout and a footer layout. Using Elementor, creating various layouts is incredibly simple. You can adjust the design, layout and change the color settings. Every type of design can be made and used for a website. You can use a variety of conditions as well. For instance, you can choose a separate header and footer for goods, posts, and pages.
How to install Free header and footer plugin
- Log in to WordPress Dashboard of your website.
- Go to plugins in the left panel of Dashboard.
- Click Add new button at the top.
- Now search for Header and footer for elementor
- You will see the plugin Elementor Header and Footer builder as shown in the video above.
- This plugin is designed by Brainstorm Force installed on more than 1 million websites.
- Click install on this plugin.
- Once installed, click activate.
- Now you will the Header and footer option under Appearance tab in Dashboard.
How to create Header and Footer in Elementor with Free plugin?
- Install the free header & footer builder plugin on your WordPress website as shown in the video.
- Go to Appearance in WordPress Dashboard.
- There you will see the option Header and footer. Click on it.
- It will open the window where you can start designing layouts.
- Click on Add new to start designing layouts.
- Name the layout so that you will understand whether it is for Header or footer.
- Select the Type of template – Header or Footer
- Display on – Select Entire website so that it will be shown on all the pages of the website.
- User roles – Select All
- Click on Publish.
- Once published, you can start designing layout.
- You will see the option Edit with Elementor.
- Now you will be on the window where you can select columns and elements for header and footer.
Design Header and Footer using Elementor Pro plugin
Elementor is a popular page builder plugin for WordPress that allows you to effortlessly construct and adjust the style of your website, including the header and footer.
You may design unique headers and footers for your website using the drag-and-drop interface of the Elementor Header & Footer Builder.
You can use the built-in Theme builder tool if you already have the Elementor Pro plugin and avoid using any additional plugins.
- Navigate to “Templates” in the WordPress dashboard and select “Add New” to build a new template.
- In the template editor, select “Header” or “Footer” from the drop-down menu at the top of the page.
- Use the Elementor widgets and tools to construct your header or footer. You may add text, photos, buttons, and more.
- Once you are through customizing your header or footer, click on the “Publish” button.
Choose “Elementor” under “Settings” on the WordPress dashboard. In the “Theme Builder” area, you can select the header and footer templates you just generated, and assign it to the entire website or individual pages.
